April Tweedt, D.O.
Dr. Tweedt was born and raised in West Virginia. She graduated cum laude from Bethany College in Bethany, WV with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry in 1998. She then attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV where she received the Novartis Award for Academic Achievement. After receiving her Doctorate of Medicine in 2002, she completed her internship and residency in Family Practice thru Ohio University's Family Practice residency program at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. Dr. Tweedt was awarded the Osteopathic Family Practice Resident of the Year Award for the state of Ohio. She received her board certification in family practice and osteopathic manipulative medicine in 2005.
Dr. Tweedt opened her solo practice in Olney, MD in the fall of 2005.
Mary E. Farrar, PA-C
Mary is originally from Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She worked as a certified public accountant (CPA) for a variety of businesses including Coopers & Lybrand, Watson Wyatt, and the SEC before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. She attended The George Washington University and received a Master of Science in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Certificate in 2002. Mary worked for a family practice in Gaithersburg for 6 years before joining Montgomery Family Practice.
